Spring Blooms

Spring is in the air and all the pretty flowers are in full bloom...so are my allergies, unfortunately. But, aside from my allergies, springtime is my favorite time of year! Orchids and tropical florals have such a big presence here in Miami but there are a number of other varieties of lovely spring flowers as well.

These beautiful blooming orchids are from my garden.

This large cluster of purple Cattleya orchids bloomed this week.

 The Baldan's Kaleidoscope orchid

as most orchids keep their blooms 3-6 weeks on average, which is why I love having them around.

I even use orchids in photographing some of my antiques and vintage home decor.

The delicate curves and soft colors of this orchid go well
with the Mieto China teacup and saucer. The set of twelve goes on sale this week at Chictiques.

Other vintage items going on sale this week with orchids in their design patterns are the vintage vibrant purple Cattleya tablecloth

and the yellow Cathlea orchid oblong plate.

With the spring, comes Easter...my favorite holiday as my oldest son was born on Easter Sunday!

Pretty pastel Easter Framed Victorian Postcards and the cutest
little Fritz & Floyd porcelain Salt & Pepper Bunny Set are listed in For the Holidays.

Wishing all of you a Happy Springtime!
